THRONE 3D: Using this app, the user gets to see their house/building in a 3D mode and then they can control their house lighting, shutters/curtains, garage, cameras and even some types of sensors. It looks really amazing provided you give the design team the plans they need and you will see they do a really great job. There are some sample demo models so you can try the app and play around too.

Control4: We had a small Control4 (American) home automation system installed so we were using this app. What makes this app really good is the fact that it is an all-in-one app. Other than the basic control (lights, curtains/shutters, cameras etc.) you can also control your TV, the sound system and even your garden’s watering system. They have the largest driver library so there are so many integrations possible which gives you so much more control than you know.

HDL-On: It is also another app for a Chinese home automation system. You get a lot of good control from them too and of course at a low price.

Hik-Connect: I was using this app for Hikvision CCTV. We used it to monitor the cameras in our office remotely.

Fing: It is not really a smart home app for some, but it is for me since we needed to know the IP addresses being used to configure the home automation system for our clients. With this app, you can simply scan and it will show you all the devices currently connected to your network and their IPs.
